Emmy Predictions 2025

 

It’s Emmy time again. Lots of great nominees but only a few frontrunners, especially after the recent Creative Arts Emmys. It looks like practically a runaway for The Studio and Adolescence with Severance and The Pitt fighting it out. I like all these shows. I am looking forward to Nate Bargatze hosting the show this year. Here are my picks:

Outstanding Drama Series

WANT TO WIN: Severance (I love a good mystery box show)

Outstanding Comedy Series

WILL WIN: The Studio (Hollywood loves to reward themselves)
WANT TO WIN: Shrinking (It was even better than its first season)

Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series
Adolescence | Black Mirror | Dying for Sex | Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story | The Penguin
WILL WIN: Adolescence (Just perfection)
WANT TO WIN: Adolescence (I was riveted from beginning to end)

Outstanding Reality Competition Program

WILL WIN: The Traitors (People really seem to like this show)
WANT TO WIN: The Amazing Race (The only show in this list I watch)

WILL WIN: Noah Wyle (He was a force to be reckoned with)
WANT TO WIN: Gary Oldman (His character is gross, smart and fun to watch)

Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series
Matlock: Kathy Bates | Bad Sisters: Sharon Horgan | Severance: Britt Lower | The Last of Us: Bella Ramsey | The Diplomat: Keri Russell
WILL WIN: Kathy Bates (The industry really likes her)
WANT TO WIN: Keri Russell (Ramsey is too bratty, Lower didn’t do as much)
